A closed-door Mentoring Programme Closing Gala bringing together senior leaders from the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and WIFA’s sponsors from across the finance industry. The discussion examined inclusion as a governance and organisational resilience issue, covering flexible work structures, support systems, and accountability, rather than a compliance checkbox. It reflected Isabelle's broader view that governance extends beyond risk and controls to how organisations structurally support the people within them by genuinely walking the walk.

Isabelle also presented on how difficult, high-pressure situations, such as leading the Mauritius branch divestiture, can become genuine brand-building moments, drawing on her own experience coaching affected employees through CV rebuilding and interview preparation during the closure. A senior banking panel preceded the session. The discussion explored how mentorship evolves into genuine sponsorship, and how organisations can build environments where that shift actually happens for women. It reflects Isabelle's continued focus on advocacy and sponsorship, as well as detailed documentation, personal branding, and not putting all eggs in one basket.

Citi hosted the official launch of WIFA's Mentor-Mentee Programme, introduced by Isabelle, Career Development Co-Chair, who outlined a structured cross-industry initiative for mentors and mentees. The event featured a keynote on mentorship best practice from executive coach Tracy Ho, and a panel from across global banking, exploring how mentors from diverse backgrounds function as a personal 'Board of Directors' for career growth. It marked the start of a programme Isabelle would go on to help lead and grow over the following two years.
Isabelle moderated an exchange on the foundations needed not just to innovate, but to deliver solutions clients genuinely want: responsible data use, architecture, operational controls, AI, and a genuine understanding of customer needs. From rural banking to emerging digital models, the conversation showed that technology can expand reach and improve efficiency. During the panel, Isabelle emphasised trust as the coherent narrative and amplified it throughout the discussion, linking it to her work on revenue leakage and cross-selling.

Isabelle joined a panel examining why women remain underfunded and underrepresented in fintech investment decisions, despite the sector’s claim to innovation. The discussion examined access to investor networks, differences in how founders are assessed, financial discipline, profitability, and the importance of moving women from participation to positions of capital-allocation authority. Isabelle argued that fintech can be technologically innovative while remaining institutionally conventional, emphasising that the solution is not lower investment standards, but consistent diligence, broader sourcing networks and greater diversity among decision-makers.
